Corinne uses her 37 years of experience and love of horses in her daily management of Still Creek Farm. Her riding experience began in the Three Day Eventing world; however, the Hunter/Jumper world would be where she would end up. Corinne has been employed in the horse industry for the past 25 years. She has been a horse show groom for Danny Robertshaw of Beaver River Farm, Jack Towell of Finally Farm, and Pat Dodson of Clouds Harbor Farm. Corinne spent several years as a professional while working out of Rhett and Cindy David’s farm, Never Say Never Farm in Easley, SC.
During this time, she completed her Master’s degree in Elementary Education and taught school for ten years. At the end of the ten years, Corinne realized she wanted to be involved with horses and horse owners, full time and that brought her to Still Creek Farm.
Dee Raffield
Aquatread Manager
864-809-0190
Dee’s love and care for horses began as a small child while spending summers on her father’s farm. She learned how to ride Quarter Horse race horses, which led to several opportunities as an exercise rider. This included a job with Florida’s leading trainer, Donald Manucy. During racing’s off season, Dee worked for Shamrock Farm in St. Augustine, FL. There she gained the experience of driving and swimming Standardbred horses at their rehab facility.
In the mid- eighties, Dee found herself in the Carolinas. With no real racing farms to be found, she took on the position of manager at Las Padres Paso Fino farm and gained yet more experience with a whole new breed of horse and type of riding.
In 1991, Dee bought her own farm and began her own business. This included breeding and foaling Thoroughbred mares, shipping broodmares to and from Kentucky and Florida, and training many different breeds of horses from the ground up. During this time, Dee would find her passion to be for Barrel racing. She has had much success in the Barrel racing world, winning several titles and championships in the Southeast. Dee still continues to train and compete in many Rodeos and shows.
In 2011 Dee came to Still Creek Farm where puts all of her extensive experience and passion for horses into practice.
